Before we headed out of town for GA, we pin pointed a cottage for sale in a lovely location. It was 1.5 blocks from Pinehurst No. 2 and the business district. There was one problem though...the cottage looked like this.
It's not a pleasant sight but to us we saw a load of possibilities! We got back into the car and started on our way to GA to visit family. We had a lot to talk about concerning this new found region and cottage.

I can picture beautiful gardens, and a charming little front porch to sit on...maybe some window boxes and shutters...would love to see the inside
Welcome to the world of blogging..
Thanks for stopping by! :)

I see the potential, too. My husband would have moved just for the location and I would have gladly tagged along. How much time will you be spending there? It looks charming. Thanks for dropping by Lemon Lane Cottage. I am your newest follower.
Hi Amy! I am looking forward to following you on your new journey! Isn't it wonderful to happen upon a place on earth that takes your breath away? So happy for you that you found such joy in Pinehurst and in the gardenia, too. ((hugs))

I came across your blog through a comment you left on the Cottage Nest. I look forward to seeing if you take the cottage and what you do with it. It should be a fun project!
Hi Amy, I think it is charming and has lots of potential charm. We have an antebellum home in central Ga. that is tumble down that I never show on the blog and a vacation home that I do show. We are putting all our eggs in our vacation home as we cannot afford to restore a 160 year old house. I am following you as well. Have a splendid week, Olive
Oh, I see the possibilities as well, Amy!!! And such a beautiful location!
So nice to hear from you... I'm following along.

I think it sounds like a wonderful venture!! But then, I like challenges. Your plans look great. How far away is it? I hope it's close enough you can really enjoy it.
