We found this 1901 Liberty Head V Nickel coin underneath our fireplace mantel. It's not worth much but none the less it was fun to find and to have. The cottage was built in 1919. I'm still having problems uploading pics from my computer to blogger. Before uploading I have to switch to HTML.

I assume you've had the value checked. Poor condition it brings maybe $2.50; excellent condition it brings maybe $140. Personally, I'd shine it up and frame it as a moment attached to the house.
